From Our Garden to Your Bouquet

One of our favorite parts of being florists is weaving a little bit of our own farm-fresh blooms into each arrangement we create. This time of year is pure magic for us—everywhere we look, something beautiful is blooming. Dahlias, lisianthus, zinnias, celosia, gomphrena, and sunflowers are at their peak, painting the garden in a kaleidoscope of colors.

Each morning begins with a peaceful visit to the garden, snipping stems that will soon find their way into a bride’s bouquet, wedding centerpieces, or arrangements for special events. Whether it’s a romantic wedding arch, a charming flower crown, or a rustic tablescape for a private party, there’s something deeply satisfying about knowing exactly where those flowers came from—grown with love, cared for daily, and picked at just the right moment.

By evening, we usually find ourselves back outside, taking a slow walk through the rows. It’s our way of unwinding after a busy day in the studio, watching the light soften and the petals close for the night.

Of course, we can’t forget our loyal Australian shepherd, Willow, who takes her role in the garden very seriously. This year, she’s been especially busy on “bunny watch,” keeping an eye out for the many fluffy visitors who seem to love our seasonal blooms as much as we do.

Now, all of this might make being a florist sound glamorous—and on days like these, it can feel that way. But the truth is, our work also includes plenty of less photogenic moments: cleaning countless buckets, hauling heavy stems, and tackling all the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our wedding floral design business running. Still, we love sharing these favorite parts of the job—the moments that inspire us and remind us why we do what we do.

Whether we’re preparing custom wedding flowers, styling flower truck events, or designing fresh arrangements for a milestone celebration, adding blooms from our garden isn’t just a design choice—it’s part of our story. Each stem carries with it a piece of the season, a bit of our daily rhythm, and a whole lot of heart. And when we see those flowers in your arrangements, we’re reminded of the joy that blooms in every petal.
